  F.A Johnson Sr.

F. A. Johnson is a native of Cordele, Georgia who received his undergraduate degree from Morehouse College and pursued further studies at the Atlanta University School of Social Work and the Atlanta Law School.

After serving as Chief Operating Officer of the Atlanta Mortgage Company, the second largest minority mortgage company in the United States at that time, F. A. Johnson became president of the Harbison Development Corporation in Columbia, South Carolina. While in that position, he created a non-profit development corporation to carry out the feasibility study, planning and development of this 2,000-acre new town with a project cost of approximately $225 million on behalf of the Presbyterian Church U.S.A.

During Johnson's time with Harbison, he began his close relationship with The Keenan Company, Columbia, SC, who served as development consultant and assembled land parcels. After the successful development of Harbison, F. A. Johnson and Associates was formed in 1970, and acted as the leading consultant that managed project planning for Harbison.

In 1976, F. A. Johnson & Associates opened an Atlanta office in the Peachtree Center Complex. He specialized in neighborhood redevelopment, organizing 501(c)(3) entrepreneurial development corporations, loan packaging, and development packaging of projects on behalf of city and county governments with emphasis on cooperative ventures with in-town and neighborhood groups. Today, Johnson is recognized as an expert in the procurement of 501(c)(3) status for clientele.

In 1981, F. A. Johnson & Associates became F. A. Johnson Interest. While maintaining his Atlanta location, he broadened his base of operation by becoming Director of Advisory Services for The Keenan Company. From these associated business relationships has emerged The F. A. Johnson Consulting Group, Inc.(FAJC).

Johnson’s track record in working with Community Based Development Corporations and structuring Public/Private Partnerships have led to an excellent reputation within the industry for completing projects on time and within budget. His commitment to quality only serves to enhance FAJC’s commitment to providing the highest level of service to its clients.
