The City of Wilmington recently hired the F.A. Johnson Consulting Group to make a facility needs assessment for a 100+ year old church. We needed information about the structural condition of the church, potential uses, renovation costs and means to immediately stabilize the building to prevent its collapse. The F.A. Johnson Consulting Group produced a report that provided the answers we needed within the time frame we asked for. Based on the information provided by Mr. Johnson’s firm, we are now in the process of renovating the church building for an arts and entertainment facility. Without the quick and professional response by the F.A. Johnson Consulting Group, this fine structure would have likely been demolished.

Mr. Johnson has prepared an overall space needs program, relocation of the District Office to a campus like setting at a cost of $2 million, clinic relocations and currently is our Development Manager of a $7 million new downtown clinic in the central business district of Augusta, GA. His work has included numerous site evaluations, working with a large health board staff. His work has been exemplary. To date, all projects have been completed within our under budget.

F.A. Johnson Consulting Group completed the Castle Street Development Action Plan and Developer’s Manual ahead of schedule. The plan and manual are implementable and will accelerate the process of revitalization of Castle Street. F. A. Johnson served as the Director for this project. F. The Western North Carolina Conference of the A.M.E. Zion Church selected Mr. Johnson and his firm to provide development/consultation services in connection with a $1.8 Million Gynmatorium Project at Camp Dorothy Walls in Black Mountain, North Carolina. That project was completed to the great satisfaction of my client. Without the assistance and direction of F.A. Johnson, this project could not have been completed within the available budget. Mr. Johnson assisted with the selection of a lender, negotiations with the lender, selection of architect, selection of engineers and coordinated all aspects of the project. F.A. Johnson’s talents were absolutely critical in the prompt and profession resolution of an environmental problem which arose during the critical early construction phases of the project. His contacts in government and regulatory agencies enabled us to secure necessary EPA documents in amazingly short order to keep the project on target, both in terms of time and budget.
